New Year, New Stuff, Same Crappy Old Me

Well, much has changed. And somewhat uniquely for me, it has changed for the better. I have finally found a job; actually the job found me, leaving me with ten days to sort out relocation to London. Fortunately some lovely people in Surrey - so lovely that I shan't name them - are permitting me to live in their house for the time being.

I love London. I love the bustle, the shops, the feeling that I could get anything I wanted here given time and money. And fortunately I love my new job, too - well, as much as it's possible to judge after three days.

So yes, things are looking up massively. And I do hope that saying that isn't too hubristic...

    I love London

That's a change of tune! Glad you're enjoying it though, but hold your horses till summer when it'll start smelling.

BTW, I have a totally unrelated question. Whereabouts in Britain would constructions like "the clothes that wanted hung up" be found? I ask because it's there in Pittsburghese and I was sure we have it somewhere in Britain, just couldn't remember where.
